The Idaho Wild Sheep was founded in 1982 by two dozen concerned sportsmen who wanted to “put more bighorns on Idaho’s mountains.”
From that core group, many of which are still very active on our board and committees, we have grown to a thriving organization with over 400 committed members.
‘THE DUKE’ video brought to you by KRYPTEK, Silverline Films and the Idaho Wild Sheep Foundation. The Duke was named after American legend John Wayne. Doug Sayer shot this ram last year in Hells Canyon with Dan Blankenship and his crew at Sheep Mountain Outfitters. The Duke is the pending Idaho State Record Bighorn Sheep. He holds impressive mass through the curve of his horns, scoring 203 7/8 with SCI and 200 1/8 points in Boone & Crockett! All of Idaho is proud of this ram.
